Waalse Kerk / Walloon Church
Description
Established since 1585, the Walloon Church of Rotterdam is part of the religious and cultural life in Rotterdam. A Walloon church (French: Église Wallonne; Dutch: Waalse kerk) describes any Calvinist church building in The Netherlands and its former colonies whose members originally came from Southern Netherlands and France and whose native language is French.

Becky’s Grandmother, Lenie Knoth – van den Berg got married to her Grandfather, Neil MacLachlan in this church on the 11th October 1945. To the left is a picture of their registered marriage found in the church’s old records.
